How to Apply

Admission Procedures

Application Information

  • Applications can be submitted online via the following website, please apply now.
  • Please send the photocopy of academic certificates, photocopies of identity proof and other relevant documents via email to apply2021@cihe.edu.hk.
  • Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend an admission interview after submission of applications and are requested to bring along the following when attending the interview:
    1. identity proof;
    2. academic credentials of public examinations;
    3. school reports for the last three years;
    4. other academic proofs (if any).
  • Applicants applying for programmes offered by the Department of Design must bring 3 pieces of artwork when attending the admission interview.

Application and Other Fees

Application fee: HKD 500


Remark: All fees paid are neither refundable nor transferable.

Programmes Offered

CBCC Programmes

  • All programmes have been validated by the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ), which the academic qualification and status are both recognized by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government.
  • Lectures are conducted in English with the supplement of Cantonese.
  • The College adopts the credit system. All non-local students must study in full-time mode.
  • Graduates of the Higher Diploma and the Associate Degree programmes are able to articulate to the Bachelor's Degree Programmes offered by Caritas Institute of Higher Education (CIHE) or local universities, or they may choose to continue their studies abroad by entering a top-up degree programme which could normally be completed in 1 to 2 years.
  • Students with outstanding academic performance are eligible to apply for various scholarships granted by the HKSAR Government.
  • Non-local students who have obtained a Bachelor's Degree qualification conferred by CIHE are eligible to apply to stay/return and work in Hong Kong in accordance with the "Immigration Arrangements for Non-local Graduates (IANG)".

  • Graduates of the Higher Diploma and the Associate Degree programmes are able to articulate to the Bachelor's Degree Programmes offered by Caritas Institute of Higher Education (CIHE) or local universities, or they may choose to continue their studies abroad by entering a top-up degree programme which could normally be completed in 1 to 2 years.

  • CIHE is no longer accepting applications from Mainland, Macau and Taiwan applicants for admission to the Bachelor's Degree Programmes for 2021-22. Applicants are welcome to apply for the Higher Diploma Programmes.

General Admission Requirements
  • Grade E or above in 2 AL subjects in the GCE; OR
  • Grade E or above in 1 AL subject in the GCE plus 5 passes in GCE-OL/GCSE/IGCSE including Chinese Language and English Language; OR
  • A combined score of 1,100 (2400-point scale) or 830 (new 1600-point scale) in SAT Reasoning Test plus High School Transcript; OR
  • A composite score of 15 in ACT plus Higher School Transcript; OR
  • A National University Entrance Examination score third tier or above for entry into non-government universities; OR
  • A score of 4 or above in two International Baccalaureate (IB) subjects; OR
  • Have obtained an equivalent qualification.
English Language Requirement
  • Grade E in GCE A Level or GCE AS-level English Language; OR
  • Grade C in GCE-OL/GCSE/ IGCSE English Language; OR
  • An overall score of 5 in IELTS; OR
  • A score of 45 in TOEFL internet-based test or 133 in computer-based test or 450 in paper-based test; OR
  • A score of 100 (out of 150) in English language in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE); OR
  • Level 3 in International Baccalaureate (IB) English Language; OR
  • Level 7 in SAT Reasoning Test Essay; OR
  • Have obtained an equivalent qualification.
English Language Requirement
  • Grade E in GCE A Level or GCE AS-level Chinese Language; OR
  • Level 3 in International Baccalaureate (IB) Chinese Language; OR
  • Have obtained an equivalent qualification.
